Taking Classes

It's been a busy summer and I've neglected my poor blog. I have been busy taking a few online art classes. Since my art is mostly digital prints I wanted to try some canvases. Paulette Insall's Organic Dimension (Backgrounds Class) was terrific. I was able to incorporate some of my digital images on to a layered background. I'm currently taking Wyanne Thompson's Art Play class and Jane DesRosier's Cloth and Clay Doll Workshop. Next up is Paulette Insall's All About Faces class. But I miss the challenge of doing Illustration Friday and hope to find time to participate soon.

ONE World-ONE Heart giveaway

One World-One Heart is a blog-wide giveaway event. The idea behind this is to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. Read more about the event here.
I know I’m late with this but since I've entered my name to win at so many sites I felt I had to participate also.

Here is my blog give-away.

Surface is sprayed with a paper protectant. It’s hard to see in the photo but the blanket and teacup are raised slightly from the surface.

You Make My Day

I was delighted to receive the "You Make My Day" award from the talented artist Mika from Mika Art Blog. I was very happy to receive it, and, well, it made my day!

Here’s how the “You Make My Day” award works!

1. Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make me think and/or make my day.
2. Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
3. Display the "You Make my Day Award" logo with a link to the post that I wrote. (Optional)
4. Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.

Here are just a few of the blogs that make my day and so if they haven't already received it, I am passing this award on to them:
